We headed to Kelowna (2 hours away) a couple of weekends ago, and thankfully, the sun came out! Although the wind was cool, we (and many others) thorough enjoyed our time in the outdoors.
It seems Dave’s mom is doing quite well after her hip surgery last summer, although she wasn’t able to walk too far without having to rest. It was great to see her walking less tentatively, though.
This past weekend I returned to Kelowna for our annual Homeschool Convention (and staff meeting). It hailed on Friday, and the wind was very cool. The sun came out Saturday, though. What a difference a bit of sun makes!
And tomorrow morning, I’m leaving for Calgary (8 hours away) for the Canadian Association of Pregnancy Support Services National Convention… it’s a first for me, and I’m getting more excited as the time draws near.
Hopefully there won’t be snow to greet us on the way!
The most difficult and frustrating part of traveling is the PACKING!! It takes me forever to decide what to take (and so I procrastinate and do everything but..!) . When all is said and done, and I’m home again, I usually end up putting too many neatly folded, unworn items back into the closet. But one must be prepared for all sorts of weather, right?
I’ll be glad when we are on our way!
