Personally, if I DID do a tattoo, it would be very small and personal. Maybe a Bible verse or a little picture of a heart or something, with my spouse's initials. . Nothing that would take up an entire arm! But this guy's tattoo is cool, I think. And he's got a good story to go with it.
What would you tattoo?
So, are you wanting answers to the question? ;) For years I'd say no, but as I've gotten older and maybe a tad more adventurous in my thinking, I would definitely go for a small tattoo of a honey bee on my wrist. My first name is bee in Greek. Seems appropriate!
ReplyDeleteOff to watch the video now. Thanks for sharing.
Melissa - I think you should go for it! :)
ReplyDeleteAwesome video!
ReplyDeleteI don't think I would ever get a tattoo. My main reason is that I don't do pain. At all. Also, I just know that I would get tired of a tattoo after awhile and wish that I could change it.
I'd echo Sonya. I still remember the shock when I realized my aunt had a tattoo - done when she was already a wife and mom - of a small rose. It is on her wrist, deliberately put in the spot her watch covers, but it makes her smile to know it's there.
ReplyDeleteI doubt I will ever get a tattoo, because I know my tastes change and things that are meaningful to me also change. But who knows. Maybe one day.
ReplyDeleteI am in the process of designing a sleve tattoo for my little sister right now, though. It is really difficult. I used to sketch a lot when we were kids and she has it her mind that I'm some kind of artist. (Not the case!) And she thinks it will be more meaningful if I design it instead of a stranger. I think she's insane, but I'm flattered and so I'm doing my best.
Such an amazing story. It is like truly wearing your story out in the open. Great conversation starter I would imagine.
ReplyDeleteI just never imagined ever, ever, ever that the word tatoo would be on your blog!!!
