Need A Little Levity in Your Life?

Check out this cool little video. It's part of The Levity Project, where the name of the game is injecting a little silliness and lightheartedness into your life.

Have you ever car danced? Have you ever danced down the street?

I remember when I was about 19 years old, my girlfriend and I linked arms with a guy friend of ours and hippity hopped down a Vancouver Street together. Yes, I really did. It wasn't my idea, but  I remember that it was so much fun. You can do anything silly as long as you have at least one other person as your accomplice. It would feel much more awkward going it alone, I must admit!

Last Fall, when my sister and I entered a 21km race (which we walked more than ran, but it didn't really matter), there came a point where we had to inject some more fun into the run, so as we were listening to our iPods, we began acting out the songs. What a hoot. We laughed so hard, and it definitely took our mind off our weary bones. We didn't make eye contact with too many people, though. ;)

How do make sure you don't take yourself too seriously?

  2. I always dance in my car. It embarrassed my husband, though. I am seldom in danger of taking myself too seriously! LOL

  3. Thanks so much for sharing this car dancing video here!! And - having taken part in the car dancing video - I can completely relate to this being tons easier if you are with someone else. It's a big step to get over that fear and take a step outside of that "box". Doing it, though, is so liberating...and in this case...just a whole lot of fun!!!

Thanks for sharing that fun here!!
