Today was a stay-at-home, stay-in-from-the-cold sort of day for me. Well, I started out with meeting my girlfriend for our regular Friday morning walk, but we turned back because the wind was bitingly cold! Felt like December!! And after we were teased with Spring-like weather, that wasn’t very nice!
So thoughts turn to a few things I’m thankful for in my house!
Cabbage Soup. AND my Dutch Oven (wish I’d had one years ago!)
Mile High Coconut Milk Cream Meringue Pie (we are going to share).
French Press Coffee Pot and a huge Starbuck’s mug.
Sometimes it’s the little things that bring lots of contentment and joy.
Nice! I've been cooking all day too but it is all going on our retreat this weekend - though a piece of lemon poppy seed cake with lemon glaze made its way into my stomach! Definitely the bad part about cooking for hungry, skinny college students.... sigh.
ReplyDeleteMmmm! The soup and pie look yummy. Add me to the list of non-walkers today. It was brutal out there. I had to force myself to walk to the mailbox.
ReplyDeleteThe worst was the wind! Dirt and dust in the eyes and mouth...ah, February, so glad when you're gone.
ReplyDeleteThat pie looks like heaven!
ReplyDeleteActually, so does that soup.
And the coffee.
Sometimes I wish I lived at your house.
