Strong

The will to live, that is.
Last Sunday night Dave and I went to see 127 Hours. Oh my, what a story! I was totally engrossed in it for the entire time. Based on a true story (my favorite type of movie), it tells the experience of  Aron Ralston, an avid outdoorsman , who gets caught between a rock and a hard place, literally. And he is ALL ALONE and has told no one where he is heading to that day. The story is told so well . The themes of love, family, life, perseverance, beauty,  responsibility, and thankfulness all come into play. I’m recommending this one!
And I’ve got Between A Rock and A Hard Place on my Reading List.

  1. I heard about this movie recently and thought it sounded like a good one. Now I know it is! I'll definitely have to check it out.

  2. How graphic was the movie? I don't think I would like to see too many details of how he got free.

  3. Oh, it's definitely graphic in a few places, but you can just close your eyes and listen to everyone in the audience emitting squeamish noises. I had to turn away a couple of times. But it isn't overdone, I don't think.

  4. I almost went to this tonight while the kids were at bible study. But changed my mind when I learned I didn't have to drive the first leg. I'll keep an eye out for the DVD.
