My last personal monthly challenge of this year was to take at least one photo per day. I THINK I accomplished that (give or take a day or two). To be honest, December picture taking isn’t that difficult. If it was November or January, now THAT would be a challenge!
Some of my favorite pics this month, not because they are great ARTISTICALLY, but because of what they represent – fun and family!
The Dropje Divvy – this is a Christmas tradition in our family (I think we made it up). My mom sends dutch licorice for the kids almost every year, and because this candy is so coveted (especially certain ones), the kids sit down and create all these rules on how to divide them up fairly. Serious business. It’s hilarious to watch!
It brings me joy to know we have added another croquette lover to the family. It would be 2 thumbs up if her other thumb wasn’t busy, I’m sure!
And here’s Buddy the Cat…I just think he’s sitting quite strangely here.. All head, chest, with little tucked in front legs. Where the rest of his body went, I’m not sure..
And, of course, Mexico. I couldn’t decide which to put in…so many scenic shots. This one will have to do.
12 Challenges-- some successful, some not. But, all in all, a worthwhile experience. Glad it’s over, though!
Fun pictures! Isn't it funny how grown up kids want to keep up with some of the traditions from when they were younger? And I have to admit I didn't know there was such a thing as Dutch licorice.
ReplyDeleteThe picture of Buddy is hilarious!
ReplyDeleteI refuse to comment on the Mexico picture - Mexico didn't look like that on our trip we just took. =)
I've been thinking I MUST learn how to make those croquettes. I had some at Amsterdam today and they were fantastic! But...they also see them frozen, so I might have to go that route. Love family food traditions.
ReplyDeletethat is they SELL them frozen. Too quick on the key.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures! Glad that Katie is a croquette convert. The droppjie divy is hilarious.
