Yesterday, I decided it was time to tackle Mt. St. Paperwork on my kitchen counter. I don’t know about you, but I am both a piler and a filer. I file, then I pile, then I file, then I pile.. and so on, and so on. It drives me crazy because I really do believe that clutter in my physical environment translates to clutter in my mental environment! The longer time delay between piling and filing, the more miserable I get. And that is not a good thing.
Anyway, I was on a roll with clearing counter clutter, so I moved on to a couple of drawers, and then I saw these:
and it took me back to the days when I had all my little nestlings around me on a daily basis. The spoon is included so that you can imagine the size more accurately. We used these items quite regularly.
Any guesses on what they are? This could be easy or difficult, depending on if you’ve ever used them. And if you are one of MY nestlings, don’t answer. I know you know!
Update: Don’t want to keep you waiting too long, so here’s the answer :
It’s a card holder for little hands that might have trouble sorting and holding cards. I got these from Discovery Toys years and years ago. DT had the best games for kids way back when. Maybe they still do.
I'm not sure how I feel about being referred to as a "nestling", but I do remember that Tim used these more than the rest of us!
ReplyDeleteI have no idea! Do we get any clues??
ReplyDeleteI don't know either, but I'm curious.
