‘Twas 3 days after Christmas…

Dec 10 109  Thanks to Buddy the Cat, this little Angel has not much more than a head and wings to speak of. After many years of gracing the Christmas tree, it’s officially been retired (to the waste bin), along with a few more unsightly ornaments that I should have discarded a few Christmases ago. I’m a little sentimental about things like that, though. So, I usually hang on to them longer than I should. If it’s ornaments the kids have made, well.. I find it especially difficult to get rid of them, however ugly they may seem to outsiders (or the kids!).

My favorite ornament this year was given to me by my daughter. I just LOVE it!  She knows what I like!

Am I the only one who has already put away the tree this year? After Sis and her family  left (always a little bit of let down after fun Christmas times together), I looked around the house and thought about how good it would feel to tidy everything up. Well, one thing led to another, and now I have my living room back!! A few festive things left up till after New Years, though. I’m not totally wacky!

Oh, and after days of NO SNOW, it' is snowing like CRAZY out there!! Three Days Late, if you had asked the kids.

  1. Jaxon ate a little bird out of a nest in our Christmas tree! We found the nest in one of the trees we cut down, saved it and put a little feathered bird in it. The nest did survive though. Love the new ornament you got though - that is awesome.

I can't believe you packed up already. Wow! I am almost ready but can't think about it today. Probably do it on the 1st.

  2. I took down ALL my Christmas stuff this morning. After 6 weeks of having it up I just couldn't stand to look at it one more day.

  3. I can relate, Sonya. I had mine up pretty well since November 28th (which is much earlier than I usually put it up) and was glad to see it go back into its box!

  4. Great ornament! We haven't really had our "Christmas" yet, so the tree remains steadfast in our living room.

  5. I woke up today and thought the same thing. But it didn't happen because I'm too focused on finishing up book #50. Gotta meet that goal! Almost there!
    Love that ornament.
