Amazing. True. Story.

My sister sent me a book for my birthday. She’s a busy lady and doesn’t have time to browse stores or the internet for just the right book, but this time she hit the jackpot when she picked a book off of a ‘Living Books’ rack in a restaurant. I have to say this is one of the best books I’ve read all year, so yes, I’m highly recommending it to you.

Same Kind of Different As Me  same kind of different As me by Ron Hall and Denver Moore caught my interest from the first chapter. I’m a fickle reader, and if a book doesn’t hook me pretty quick, I don’t bother continuing. Too many other good books out there calling my name.

There are three  key players in this fascinating story. A homeless man. A rich art dealer. A woman who sees past the masks people wear and sees them as God does.

This book is written in alternating chapters in first person, by Denver, the homeless man, and then Ron, the art dealer. It’s like watching two  people walking down a highway from opposite ends to the point where they meet, and then seeing how their lives intertwine, as they both travel down a new road together, both of them changed forever.

This is not a glossed over story. These are real people. Real emotions. Raw. And the writing is superb.

It moved me so, that I cried. Not many books actually do that to me.

Hope you get a chance to read it.
