I recently read that a psychology professor at Calvin College conducted a study, which found that those who remember being spanked in their childhood, do better in school, volunteer more, and are more optimistic than unspanked children.
I don't remember being spanked, but I know I did get a few swats on my backside in my day. Does that count for anything?
I remember!
ReplyDeleteI remember getting spanked all too well. With a leather belt to boot! I did do well in school though, volunteer a lot and am very optimistic. (But I still would have rather had less spankings I think.)
ReplyDeleteOh I do. And though I hated it, I learned some very good lessons.
