It’s been a long time coming, but I think I’m really starting to love church. I’ve always loved THE church- in the universal sense of the word. But now the local one is growing on me. It’s the people. It’s the relevance of it to my life. It’s the place I feel most hopeful. It’s the place that touches the real me, the deep inside me. I love that I am free to use my gifts there. So, yes, I’m so thankful for my church.
We just finished 2 evenings of ‘renewal’ meetings with guests John and Helen Burns from a church based in Surrey. The message was great and oh so practical. Living life to the full – a life I was made for, to spread God’s love to a hurting world. What could be more meaningful than that? That’s what I want.
And the worship music was led by Hathaway, a local band. Wow. Inspiring. I’m going to get their latest CD when it comes out.
I couldn't make it to the first service but I sure enjoyed the second one. I can hardly wait to go to WOW so that I can hear Helen speak again!
