Dreaming

Where do you live? In the past? In the present? In the future? Where do most of your thoughts go when you are 'just thinking'?  To what is, what was, or what will be? I'd have to say I do a bit of each of those. I do like to reminisce about what was, and sometimes I do spend time in the 'woulda, coulda, shoulda' zone. I'm not a totally 'live for the moment' girl, although I do know how to just enjoy what I'm doing at the time, especially when it comes to  enjoying relaxing moments or holidays. Then I am THERE. And the future? Sometimes I do think about what that's going to look like. Including eternity.

I am just beginning a book called  Wide Awake by Erwin Raphael McManus, and it's all about rediscovering your  God-inspired dreams, hopes, and passions, and the importance of that to the world around you. Interesting that it's about REdiscovering, which means those dreams have always been there, but they may have been buried over time.

I admit I'm a bit skeptical about this book changing my life. So many have promised to do so, so few have delivered.I don't even know what exactly my dreams are, so how am I going to live them out, and what if my husband's dreams don't align with mine?  :)

Speaking of dreams come true, check out this cute little video. I came across it through Twitter. AMAZING what you can find (in seconds)  on that social network! ;)

  1. Oh man...that video made me a little teary. What a special memory for those two little boys.

As for the dreaming, I think a lot about the past, present AND future. I have tons of dreams but I try not to think about the really big ones (like building a house) too much because I don't want to be disappointed if they don't come true.
