I confess

220px-Justin_Bieber_2011I wouldn't consider myself a fan or anything, but last night I watched Justin Bieber’s “Never Say Never” on Netflix. And I liked it.  A lot.
I don’t think I’ve ever listened to an entire song of his until watching this documentary. But I’m amazed how many songs I was familiar with.
He certainly has accomplished a lot as a young person.  Being surrounded by people who genuinely seem to care about him helps.
So musically talented. What a voice!
I could say more about him, but I’d sound like a groupie or something.

  1. So funny! I can imagine you screaming like a schoolgirl at one of his concerts! Actually, I have heard really good things about the movie from several moms I know who watched it with their kids.

  2. My opinion of you has not gone down at all.
    I don't think anyway.

  3. I liked Justin Bieber before I saw the movie and really admired him afterwards.

  4. I don't think I can ever like Justin Bieber after listening to hundreds of campers singing, "Baby, Baby, Baby OH! Like Baby, Baby, Baby NO!" over and over and over and over again while doing dishes. Never any of the other verses...just that one, annoying chorus. On repeat. All summer long.

  5. I watched the same show and I was very impressed with the his talent and adults who worked with him. It's a tough business for any teenager to grow up in and a parent to try to guide their child through.

  6. @Sharla - I didn't scream while watching the video, but I did smile a few times. ;)

@Anne - you'll have to watch it for yourself and then you will be able to decide whether to bring your level of respect for me up or down a few notches. ;)

@Sonya - I've only seen a few youtube clips of him on Ellen, etc, so I really wondered what the tone of the video would be. I thought he seemed quite mature and likeable.

@Jill - yes, that would drive me nuts, too!

@Heather - I agree. I wonder how he's going to fare as he enters young adulthood and makes more decisions on his own.

  7. Shannon told me it was good. I keep meaning to watch it with my girls, but never seem to get around to it.
